Expert Profile


Dr. Spahic Omer is an Associate Professor at the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He studied in Bosnia, Egypt and Malaysia. His research interests cover early Islamic history and civilization, as well as the history and theory of Islamic built environment.
He has published several books and a number of scholarly articles. He has also participated as a paper presenter in a number of international and local conferences and seminars. Currently, he teaches in the Department of Fundamental and Inter-Disciplinary Studies and researches topics relating to the islamization of architectural education and its sciences.
