Sr. Dr. Norsyakilah Romeli is a former Senior Lecturer for Bachelor in Civil Engineering Technology (Construction) (ETAC) for Faculty of Civil Engineering & Technology in Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), she holds two years experiences as the Head of Program for Bachelor in Technology for Building Construction program UniMAP that has been following Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT) manual for the purpose of accreditation. She spent 7 years at UniMAP to finish her scholarship bond tenure ship to the university (2018-2025). 

Since 2025, she is appointed as  Assistant Professor for Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), for Department of Quantity Surveying. She is a Professional Quantity Surveyor that is registered to Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia (BQSM) and Royal Institution of Surveyor Malaysia (RISM). She practised professional ethics for Quantity Surveyor Consultation designated to assist clients in contractual matters for Pre & Post Contract phase. She is actively giving talks in Construction Contractual and Tender Obligations for Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) contractor’s training. She is also a certified Building Information Modelling (BIM) trainer that provides and manages BIM Structure and BIM Architecture courses for student’ professional certification.  She is also one of the program accreditation panels for Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Survey for Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) in Malaysia appointed by Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia (BQSM) on behalf of the industry. 

Her working experiences started from 2013 where she worked at the ZulQS Consult Sdn Bhd for 2 years, and later to AMD Associates from 2015 -2023, and appointed as Branch Manager for RMKQS Consult starting year of 2023 until present (Industrial Linkage Route). Her accumulated 13 years of working experience mostly covers on the quantity surveying consultancy professional practice basis, and academic curriculum management. Her tertiary educational background started from Diploma in Quantity Survey (UiTM), Degree in Quantity Survey (UiTM), Master’s in Integrated Construction Project Management (UiTM) and PhD in Built Environment (UiTM). She is also Head Researcher of Model Based Estimation and Quantification (M-BEQ) for Centre of Excellence for Unmanned Aerial System (COEUAS) UniMAP. She is an active committee member of Innovative Construction Division, Royal Institution of Surveyor Malaysia (RISM). Her works were published in The Malaysian Surveyor 2022, Innovative Construction Report 2024 and Embodies Carbon Academician Dialogue 2025 in RISM e-books publication. Her research related fields included Quantity Surveying, Project Management and Technology, Building Information Modelling, Built Environment, Railway Construction and Joint Venture Collaboration. She is a technical reviewer for several journals locally and internationally: Malaysian Construction Journal Research, Geocarto International, Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering & Journal of Construction for Pontafica Universidad Católica de Chile.
