Expert Profile
Fatimah Noor Rashidah Mohd Sofian obtained her Bachelor's in Accounting from University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in 2010 which was funded by Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman (YTAR). Not long after, she obtained Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) equivalent to a master's degree from the International Centre of Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) in 2012 funded by INCEIF.
She embarked on her career in 2011-2014 gaining employment in RHB Bank Berhad with the Group Treasury & Global Markets division. Later, she pursued her Doctorate Degree at University of Malaya (UM) and produced a thesis titled " CSR, Corporate Reputation and Financial Performance of Islamic banks in Malaysia: Stakeholders' Perceptions" in 2020.
Presently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance, Kuliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She has published several articles and book chapters starting from 2016 until the present. Her research interest are Financial Reporting and Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility; Banking and Islamic Finance; Financial Planning. She has obtained Shariah Registered Financial Planner (Shariah RFP) and Takaful for Educators Programme (ICTEP) in 2024.
